What to bring!

  • It's important to bring the right equipment on all walks. 

Here's a useful checklist.

 

  • Suitable Footwear (not runners/trainers!)
  • Rain Jacket
  • Waterproof pull-ups
  • Walking boots
  • Cap (beanie!)
  • Gloves
  • Day Backpack
  • Whistle
  • Torch
  • Compass
  • Packed Lunch
  • Cool drink (water)
  • Hot Drink (optional, but great in cold weather!)

Tips

Wear multiple layers of clothing rather than one or two heavy items. Air gets trapped between the layers and heats up.

Bring a change of clothes for post-walk activities. It will make a real difference to your comfort.
